Volunteers Needed!

Monday, August 8th, 2011

We’re helping the New Jersey chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with the planning of their Light the Night Walks in October. Five walks take place on the same two Saturdays and this wouldn’t be possible without the 300 volunteers that come out every year to help blow up balloons, check in participants and hand out T-shirts and food and beverage, among other tasks.

Would you like to be added to our volunteer list for one of these events?

Lighting the Night in Hoboken, NJ

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Over a six-week period in autumn each year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society holds nine Light the Night Walks all over New Jersey in order to raise awareness and funds for research into the treatment of blood cancers and other types of cancer.

On Saturday, October 10, 2010, Light the Night will take place at Pier A in Hoboken, NJ and Ginger Donnan Events is thrilled to be involved as a member of the BNI Gold Coast team, a business networking group for Hudson County.

Check in begins at 5 p.m., opening ceremonies start at 6 p.m. and are followed by the two mile Walk. Come join us! Sign up here with a donation or just to Walk and meet the members.

If you can contribute, you should know that:
- A donation of $25 provides patients and their loved ones with FREE booklets that contain up-to-date information on their disease and help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
- A donation of $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
- A donation of $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
- A donation of $1,000 makes possible one- on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
